Yours very truly, Edith K. Roosevelt. The letter has the normal folds and is in overall fine condition with nice dark writing. 8 ELLERY QUEEN] MANFRED B. LEE (Co-Author-Ellery Queen Mysteries) 1905-1971  One page typed letter signed dated April 7, 1955 on the imprinted stationery of Ellery Queen. The letter reads in part: We must ask your indulgence and understanding. For a great many years now we have made it a hard and fast rule not to send photographs, for the requests are legion, the expense considerable and time always cracking the whip. (signed) Ellery Queen.  Below the signature is typed: by Manfred B. Lee of the Ellery Queen collaboration.  Lee entered a competition with his cousin, Frederick Danney to write a crime story. 10 GEORGE BRETT (Baseball-Hall of Fame) Lot consists of a SIGNED official 1985 World Series baseball.  The Kansas City Royals won the World Series in 1985.  For the fan of George Brett, there is not a better signed item (other than the pine tar bat that resides in the Hall of Fame) than an official World Series baseball from 1985.  The signed baseball comes with a certificate of authenticity from PSA/DNA…225.00

11 MICKEY MANTLE (Baseball-Hall of Fame-500 Home Run Club) 1931-1995 Signed official American League baseball.  This example is a Joseph Cronin ball (Cronin was President of the American League from 1959-1973). Most of the signed Mantle baseballs you see are balls from a later date (Bobby Brown).  For the true collector, the signed Cronin baseballs are considerably more desirable. The example being offered here shows some very light aging but overall is clean and mostly white with a nice dark ink signature of Mantle.  The signed baseball comes with PSA/DNA papers. Despite the fact that the cost of having a Mantle baseball certified is over $100.00 I believe it is well worth the money.  There are a great number of forged Mantle baseballs on the market and in this case, having the signature verified is well worth the money.  Fortunately, someone else has already paid the fee to have the piece authenticated for you.  This is a great item for any baseball fan…999.00
